What to Expect When You Visit FBC

AdobeStock_49469690_CROP3We know first time visits are not always easy. Visiting a new church for the first time may fill your mind with questions. What will you encounter? What will people say?

First, remember that each one of us at
First Baptist Church was once walking into a new church body without any idea of what to expect. Our desire is that your experience is enjoyable;
that you encounter a warm, friendly people and atmosphere. You are welcome here, no matter your background or whether or not you have been part of a church before.

To help you know what to expect, here are a few things to note:

  • Wear what makes you comfortable. You will see people dressed in jeans and sneakers as well as office casual. Please come dressed as you feel most comfortable.
  • When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by a member or two from our Connection team who are prepared to answer your questions or point you to any needs you may have. If you have children or teens, they will introduce you to our Children’s and Youth ministry teams.
  • Our worship service begins with music that is a blend of traditional and contemporary using a variety of instruments.
  • When the offering basket comes around, please do not feel obligated to give. To support ministries at FBC and around the world members and regular attenders of the church give as the Lord leads them.
  • The message will be from the Bible. You will hear solid Christian theology presented with intelligent, understandable, and relevant terms.

Ultimately, we hope that your encounter will be enjoyable, relaxed, and memorable.

If you have additional questions please feel free to send an email or give us a call.

We look forward to meeting you!
