Journey — 7th–12th Grade
Middle and high school is quite a ride. Let’s face it — it isn’t easy, and it’s a journey. Our student ministry is named Journey because we recognize that.
Living as a teenager today can be confusing and often generates more questions than answers. It is our desire to train up teens with a foundation built on Jesus Christ and prepare them for the world they are about to enter.
What a week looks like
Each week Journey students gather for an hour and a half of “controlled chaos.” Staff and volunteer leaders prepare with prayer so students encounter Christ in the midst of silly games, crazy stories, and serious discussion.
Students hear the Gospel of Christ and learn what God says in His Word about the issues they face daily. While it may seem wild and crazy, every moment is purposeful — and the love God has for these students is spoken, shared, and lived out here.
In addition to weekly gatherings, students are invited to special events and Sunday morning classes. No matter their background, we encourage teens to simply come as they are to learn about the never-ending love of God and how He cares for them.
When we meet
- Thursdays — Journey Youth Group, 6:30–8:30 PM
- Sundays — Journey Bible Study, 9:00 AM (confirm current schedule with the office)
